Royal Blue & Associated Motorways Road Run SouthCoast Express Service Friday 21st, Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd June 2013
The Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust most years organise an express service that woulrevive a former Royal Blue route through many different towns and cities. On Friday 21st June a group of vehicles left London Victoria and started the 'service' which was to last over the following two days. The service called at Margate - Portsmouth and Cheltenham. Spread over three days, the convoy of around ten vehicles managed to travel quite some distance across the South Coast at a steady pace when they weren't sleeping at their over night stops! We joined the convoy at Southampton and followed to Salisbury in which the rest of the group continued to Cheltenham in order the complete the express service. The pictures below show the coaches used for such event.
